Natural wood standing lamp with exposed cable and hanging light

Floor lamp made with a beautiful weathered sweet chestnut branch picked up on a nearby finistère forest. Thanks to its graceful shape, this branch will now pursue its life as an interior lamp, after spending several dozens years in the forest!
The branch is very strong and durable, (thanks to the chestnut wood caracteristics: a wood which is used for making tonnels and basketry).
A pretty cloth cable in brown cotton and linen highlights the beauty of this branch designed by nature. It really has a nice shape. Obviously it won't let visitors indifferent. A vintage copper lamp holder gives a chic look to this lamp which goes well with the raw style of the wood. An alternative version is shown with jute cord and golden lamp holder.
The base is made with a nice oak plate.

** About the wood: The branches we use are carefully selected for their shape, texture and durability. They have lost their bark and dried naturally, which gives them the patina of old furniture. Chestnut is a very resistant and rot-proof wood, its branches take on an attractive shade ranging from beige to brown depending on exposure and age. The branches are meticulously cleaned, kiln heated to sanitize them, and sanded to highlight the grain of the wood, the nuances of colors, the effects of weather and climate while keeping this "just out of the forest" style.
