This lamp is made of an old chestnut log rescued from a pruning campain (as witnesses a chainsaw scar on the log). Time, storms, wind, sun, rain, sea salt have made this tree log look so great. Weather and time have given this piece of wood some nice beige shade.
Cream or white cotton lampshade and white linen cloth cable.
Height: 42cm with lampshade / 16.53 inches
E27 socket. Available with EU / UK / US plug.
The branches we use for our lamps are picked and selected for their shape in forests or beaches. These pretty bare branches without bark, dried by the wind and the rain, come from dead trees on feet, most of them were laid down by a storm. Chestnut wood is a very durable, rot resistant wood. We also use sometimes driftwood branches to make beautiful driftwood lamps, as we live next to some great breton beaches. The branches are then meticulously cleaned, brushed and if needed sanded. We apply a thin coat of bees wax to highlight the effects of weather and climate while keeping this rough - just out of the forest apect. Only environment friendly products and processes are used.
